Foot ulcer diabetic is a serious disease. It can be prevented and cured by taking precautionary measures and medication properly. It is important for diabetic patient that they should consult there doctor as soon as they observe the symptoms of foot ulcer. There are various stages of this disease. In the beginning, the cut have no ulceration. If proper attention is not given to the injury, it leads to superficial ulceration usually it is accompanied with no infection. The next stage of the disease is deep ulceration that can expose the tendons and joints. At severe stage, there is extensive ulceration also known as abscesses. In some cases partial or complete gangrene may occur.

In case, the patient should have regular check up of his glucose level and feet. Doctor always suggests applying topical antibiotic ointment on the injury as small cut can catch infection and lead to complications. Go for MRI scan of your infected foot to have a proper idea of the level of infection. If bone or large numbers of tissues are involved, patient should be hospitalized at once. Along with applying medicine on affected area, take oral antibiotics properly according to the suggestion of your doctor. Antibiotics can reduce the risk of sepsis, amputation and cellulites to some extend. Follow the instruction regarding your food as well.

Always keep the ulcer area clean by flushing saline solution on it. When foot ulcer diabetic enters a serious stage, always consult a doctor before applying anything on the affected area. Avoid using hydrogen peroxide or antiseptic solution unless prescribed by the doctor. Stay off your foot until the foot ulcer is healed completely. There are special shoes prescribed by doctors, which are used during treatment and after treatment to prevent a recurrence of the infection.

If all the methods discussed above fail to heal the foot ulcer, it is suggested that foot ulcer should be treated with bioengineered skin patches or recombination growth factor. This treatment process improves recovery time and prevents infection in foot ulcers and diabetes case. Dermagraft method is also in use to treat the disease in which growth of new skin is encouraged on the infected area through inserting connective tissue cells in ulcer area. Debridement process is also in use in foot ulcer treatment. Dead and damaged tissues are removed surgically and it reduces the chances of infection. Healing speed also increase by this treatment. Going to the doctor on time and adopting any treatment procedure mentioned above can save the patient from amputation. There are many new surgical techniques introduced in life sciences other then these that can save feet and legs. If all treatment procedures and taking all preventions do not result in getting well of foot ulcer, amputation become necessary to remove the infected tissues to save the limb.

Laser Therapy for Fungal Toenails – Podiatrist in Clarksville, Springfield, TN and Hopkinsville, KY

Laser Therapy for Fungal Toenails - Podiatrist in Clarksville, Springfield, TN and Hopkinsville, KY Dr Michael Schussler of Schussler FootCare Center discusses the Laser Therapy for Fungal Toenails. www.footcarecenter.com Fungal nails refers to any number of fungal nail infections that can occur on the foot. Sincefungal nails are usually more resistant and more difficult to treat than Athlete's Foot, topical or oral antifungal medications may be prescribed. Note Please consult a physician before taking any medications. Permanent nail removal is another possible form of treatment for tenacious fungal nails. Preventing Fungal Nail Infections After a fungal nail infection has cleared up, take steps to prevent the infection from recurring. Keeping fungi at bay will help prevent a fungal infection of the skin from reinfecting the nail. Before bed, thoroughly wash and dry your feet, and apply a nonprescription antifungalantifungal cream to the entire foot from the ankle down. Use the cream every night, then gradually apply it less often. Keep your feet dry. Dry feet are less likely to become infected. Apply powder to your dry feet after you take a shower or bath. Other suggestions for preventing fungal nails include: • Don't share nail clippers or nail files with others. • Don't share shoes or socks with others. • Try not to injure your nail, such as by cutting it too short (trauma to the nail may lead to infections). • Wear dry cotton socks and change them two or three times a ...

The feet are often the most abused portion of the body yet serious difficulties with feet are uncommon. There are not many causes for anyone to go to a foot doctor. Despite this, it is actually necessary to discover the part of the body that keeps you mobile and supports you every single day. Find out about different foot ailments, cures, and preventive steps through daily foot care.

What is a foot doctor?

A podiatrist is a medical professional specializing with a person's feet or ankle. Prior to being allowed to practice the profession, they're required four additional numerous years of podiatric medicine to earn their Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree.

Ailments, Causes and Treatment

Flatfoot comes about when the natural arch of a person's foot disappears as a result of standing or walking for prolonged periods. A lot of people become flatfooted due to arthritis, excessive extra weight or as the birth deformity. Certain cases of flat footedness might be painful if not dealt with. An everlasting cure is via surgery but doctors may also prescribe special shoes or shoe modifications.

One common foot deformity is bunions. They seem on the side of the large toe, signalling the massive toe is getting ready to point inwards. Usually contracted through genetics, people that wear bad footwear may acquire this. If you believe you have the initial phases of the bunion, begin wearing better shoes, pads or even consult a podiatrist for orthotic assistance. Some bunions might require surgery.

Another common condition treated by podiatrists is hammertoes. This occurs in the event the middle joints of toes begin contracting, causing them to curl under. This results to over contact with the footwear, causing calluses and corns. Toes become inflexible due to hammertoes and it's essential for individuals to seek treatment early.

Feet Care

One simple method to maintain your feet is as simple as buying quality footwear. Ensure your feet fit comfortably inside the shoes. There's no such thing as breaking in new shoes. Whenever they don't fit perfectly the very first time you are probably trying them on, they may never fit perfectly.

Avoid walking barefoot, even inside your house. There may be germs or bacteria which will seep in via the soles of your own feet and reach the bloodstream. You may also run the risk of getting into sharp debris like rusty nails or broken glass. Buy flip flops or sandals if you can't would like to wear shoes each time.

Regular pedicures isn't a manifestation of vanity, it is observing legitimate foot hygiene. Keeping your toenails neat and trim keeps dirt from staying under your nails and avoids cases of painful ingrown nails. Putting clear nail polish also protects your cuticles from external elements and strengthens your nail too.

As overused as feet are, they cause little pain on the body. Because your feet requires low maintenance does not necessarily mean you ought to ignore it. Treat the toes with regular basic hygiene to make sure they're strong and healthy. Never wait for a reason to go to a foot doctor. In terms of your feet, prevention is definitely much better than finding cures.

Will API’s Fungus Clear kill my plants?

Question by Spec: Will API's Fungus Clear kill my plants?
Hi,
I am using API's Liquid Fungus Cure for my fish's fungus infection. I want to know if it'll kill my aquarium plants. The active ingredient it says on the bottle is
Neutroflavine and Povdone/Collide.
Should I take my plants out?
Please help, if you've used any similar meds that have turned the water green please let me know if it killed the plants.

Best answer:

Answer by nosoop4u246
Neutraflavine (more commonly acriflavine) will not harm plants, and povidone is an antibacterial that will have little or no affect in the provided concentrations. Leave the plants be. Several medications change the water's color (malachite green-- green; methylene blue-- blue; tetracycline-- yellow/red), and they are all very different. Acriflavine is not at all like malachite green (it's much more forgiving), despite their shared color.
